Organizations

Along with the division of territories came the formation of multiple groups that were either created to support Hydra and alliances or destroy them entirely by promoting hate and violence.

The United Human and Hydra Alliance

Toward the end of The Great Famine, Hydras around the world started to face persecution. The early sympathizers of the HDC led this movement in Europe, but Henry Andersen, a World War III veteran, challenged their beliefs, organizing protests and asking the still-developing United Isles to intervene. The campaign for justice grew, and the United Human and Hydra Alliance (UHHA) was established in 2066, primarily comprising legal professionals and social justice advocates.

With further guidance from Henry Andersen, the UHHA started to receive private funding from wealthy sympathizers and eventually acquired government funding due to the increasing conflict in Dead Man’s Valley. Their influence over federal laws grew, as did the organization, with additions of departments such as science and military.

Since 2076, the UHHA has led the movement in Hydra science and technological advances, garnering the respect of many international governments. They also ran many successful military campaigns in Dead Man’s Valley, and their influence continued to grow internationally. In 2099, James Cameron was appointed the Director of the UHHA and the UHHA’s Military Branch. In 2110, the UHHA and HDC came to an agreement to cooperate due to the growing concern about the influence of a group known as Genesis in Dead Man’s Valley.

Branches of the UHHA include:
  • Department of Armed Forces and Defense

    • Faction Division – military agents who handle high-risk assignments and operate in small crews with the highest-ranking agent functioning as the commanding officer.

    • Field Division – military agents who are often utilized as back-up and lower-risk assignments.

  • Department of Medical and Scientific Studies

    • Division of Genetic and Microbiological Studies

    • Division of Neurological and Psychological Studies

  • Department of Rights and Liberties

  • Department of Immigration

  • Department of Public Affairs and Safety

    • Multiple Advisors

UHHA agents and threats are classified according to a combat competency level that is calculated by several complex variables, including strength, agility, technique, etc. There are four classes (Class1, Class2, Class3, Class4) and seven subcategories (A, B, C, D, E, F, G). Class 1 is the highest class, and A is the highest subcategorization in each class. For example, Class2G is more skilled than Class3A. In addition to the classification of ClassDigitLetter, UHHA uses a decimal point system (0.01-0.99) to compare agents (and criminals if enough information is gathered) within the same classification. For example, Class1F (0.80) is stronger than Class1F (0.30).

The Red Eyes

The Red Eyes are a formidable group of Wendigos known for serial kidnapping, Hydra trafficking, and most of all, gladiator blood sport events. Francesco De Fiore founded the Red Eyes in 2108 and was fortunate enough to locate an underground structure built before World War III to host his events. As the demand for the events grew, so did his gang. They started to kidnap unsuspecting Hydras from around Dead Man’s Valley and even the United Isles. Some of their victims met their end in the arena, while others were sold to their clients for their own businesses. Francesco’s older children, Marcelo, Carmen, and Alfonso, started to assist in the family business. It didn’t take long for the UHHA to take notice of their illegal activities.

The Human Defense Coallaition

The Great Famine took hold of what remained after the war. Surviving communities in what used to be France gathered in their attempt to endure the harsh conditions. The fight made the communities bitter and in search of whom to blame: Hydras. In 2058, unified under mutual hate, they established a gang of militants and named themselves - The Human Coalition. They drove away Hydras with the use of deadly force and made their hatred known. Their influence spread, and many joined their cause. As their numbers grew, so did their factions and settlements. A nation was born with the HDC as its very foundation. The new military nation was named Imagodeity.
